Poster Analyises 2
The letter 'R' is used to symbolise the first letter of Rihanna's name. Even though her name is on the poster it still creates this trade mark letter. The letter fits in with the rest of the poster as it's black fitting into the theme. The font of the 'R' is quit rough creating the effect that the poster is advertising a negative and rebellious side to Rihanna and showing how this album which is advertised is a bit more upbeat and harsh to her original stuff. This letter also to fill some unused space. It isn't the center of attention/ focus point however it does make the page look busy and fill up a bit of empty space which isn't used. To create the chaotic effect, unused space doesn't give the right effect therefore using as much space as possible to create the right effect. As you can see from the bright red which allows the writing to stand out, the poster is trying to advertise the 2 singles. 'Russian Roulette'; this title creates a gambling and trouble like feel to the poster. This title helps to emphasizes the rough theme which is being portrayed and creates a negative look on Rihanna as she isn't stereotypically associated with being violent or getting herself into trouble.
The colour scheme is black and white which creates a plain landscape. The titles of the songs are in red which allows these to stand out, this leaves the audience being attracted and identifying the songs. The pose which Rihanna is holding makes her look very demanding. Her thane covering her right eye is covered in rings and her wrist has a large bangle accessories, this makes her look wealthy as well as slightly rebellious because of her eye line. Her head angel is slightly titled down, this high lights her jaw bone and check bones from shadows. Her make-up is then again dark, which matches the colour scheme. Her black lipstick outlines her lips, making them look sharp and sexy. Her eye line is very sleek, the think dark line with the double flick outlines her eyes and making the white part of her eyes look even brighter. There isn't mach unused space, with the angle of her face allowing all the other angels on the image to be filled, with her hair or arm. Rihanna is very sexualised as an artist as she always appears to have various body parts on show, this attracts the male gaze as well as creating an idle for the younger generation.

Digipak Ideas
We all drew ideas for our digipak, using inspiration from those we had analysed as well as others. Following the codes and conventions of an r'n'b digipak, these are the ideas of what we ave come up with:
From this we have decided to use the final image for the front and back cover and use the second image for our centre. This is because it metaphorically links to the title of the song creating a mislead meaning of the song. The idea of the message is to show the rebellion of the character and how she has little interest in society.
